“Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you’re riding through the ruts, don’t complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don’t bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality.. Wake Up and Live!” Bob Marley
Politics Spoken Here
I saw the above sign during a trip through Arkansas. It brought back to mind how me and my kids talked politics around the dinner table.
What is interesting today is that politically, I swear, my kids have all changed sides. Conservatives became liberals and liberals became conservatives.
They sort of did the same thing musically … rockers became cowboys and classicals became bluegrassers. Who would have known?
As for me and political discussions these days, I run from them. I get way too heated and began to have terrible hot flashes.
Bean’s Pat: http://tinyurl.com/lba96jk Flowers and butterflies. Wow!
Ain’t it the truth Pat, re politics, but I love the signs! 🙂

HILARIOUS!!!
And so do I, along with serious discussions about religion!
I would much rather talk about the birds and the bees, errrr, I mean that literally, the birds and the bees, and the flowers and the trees, NOT the thing called love!!
LOL!
Thank you Pat your encouragement is greatly appreciated & cheers to you!

Snap! Used the same quote in my post. 🙂
I’m not sure I’d want to go to that grocery store, though…
It is a great quote
Having spent the last 2 years working in politics, I can easily say the less time I spend talking about it, the better.
I love that quote from Bob Marley!
Marley’s quote is one of my favorites. I think I’ve used it a time or two before but it’s worth repeating. I was mired in politics for 37 years (interviewed three presidents). I can count on one hand the ones I thought were straight shooters.
WOW! The more I learn about you, the more impressive you become!
Thanks Alex. At 74, I think I’m impressed, too. But for most of my life I just saw myself as a high school dropout faking her way through life. I snuck into the back door of a small newspaper as a darkroom flunky, then sneaked into college (always part time while working) without a high school diploma. Never did get the degree although I had more than enough credits, just not the right ones. I still take classes when I can. The best days are when I learn something new.
