I cheated. The photo is taken through the underwater viewing windows in the hull of a boat. I can skydive, but I can’t scuba dive, something to do with my claustrophobia.
I can visit caves as long as I keep moving. Once I stop, everything begins to close in on me. Ditto sort of, enclosed bird blinds. As long as something is going on outside I’m fine, otherwise I have to escape. It’s the breathing aparatus on my face that affects me with scuba diving. I love water.

“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters.” — Ursula K. Le Guin
Pat Bean is a writer, avid birder, hiker and passionate nature observer with wanderlust in her soul. She spent nine years living and traveling in a small RV. She now lives in Tucson with Scamp, a rescue who was supposed to be a Schnauzer mix but turned out to be a Siberian Husky-Shih Tzu mix who is as stubborn as his owner, her granddaughter says. She was also a journalist for 37 years, and can be reached at patbean@msn.com
I could never master the breathing or I might have sayed down forever!
I’ve never taken an underwater photo, but I do like them and this one is no exception!

I have a very slight claustrophobia, so I kinda understand. I try to fight it by going caving. 😉
