I could list a jillion things that make me happy, and coming upon a pair of sandhill cranes would be in there someplace. — Photo by Pat Bean
Happiness is a Pair of Sandhill Cranes
“I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it. — Grocho Marks”
Early this year, I saw my first sandhill cranes on a golf course in Weeki Wachee, Fl. They strolled the golf course–oblivious to golf carts–in their liesurely and lordly manner with their chicks behind them in a line.
Glad you saw them Al.
I agree with you Pat, there are countless things which make me happy. I also agree with that Grocho Marx quote, happiness is an inside job!
It was during a bad period in my life that I learned to be thankful that I found my happiness inside. I still loved getting up in the morning and had a zest for life. It was like I had discovered a precious gift. Thanks for commenting Alex. I always enjoy seeing your smiling face on my comments.
