South Llano River State Park

Entrance to the visitor center at this Texas state park made me feel as if I had come into a world of faries. In addition to the colorful wildflowers, I was welcomed by a scarlet tanager that hung around the building. -- Photo by Pat Bean

I love Texas wildflowers.
I’ve traveled from coast to coast, and from border to border, and by far Texas has the best roadside wildflowers. When it comes to autumn colors, however, Texas loses out. Thanks for commenting.
So true. My favorite fall foliage is in New Hampshire or Vermont.
beautiful!
What an absolutely inviting entrance! The red tanager against the purple must’ve been exquisite.
Gorgeous Pat.
Wow! What a beautiful entrance. 🙂
